How To Get My Go-To Rosy Pout

lipstick

I am a product junkie and am always on the search for new favorites to add to my collection of skin, body, and haircare essentials… and to my bursting make up bag. There’s something thrilling about hunting for – and finding – a product that promises whatever it is you’ve been missing.

I get SO into hearing about why or how a product does what it does. The years it spent in development, or the centuries old custom that supports how well it works. Made with a flower that only blooms once a year? Sign me up!

Whether I’m finishing a day or evening look, a rosy pout is always my go-to. Where red makes a bold statement and nude doesn’t do much for me, a luscious pink is always gold.

Here are my current favorites.

The Best High-Waisted Jeans

Mom Jeans Done Right

Can I just say that as much as I love being pregnant, I was so excited to wear waistbands again after having my babies! I’m a huge fan of high-waisted jeans, and what do I do when I’m up with insomnia at night? Oh, I just scour the Interweb for the butt-lifting, tummy-flattening, leg-lengthening winners.

Here they are…

Frame Cropped Straight Leg

These Frame straight-leg jeans in a barely worn-in wash are the perfect everyday pair. With a flattering ankle length (cute with sneaks, sexy with heels) and plenty of stretch, they comfortably lift and hold it all in.

J Brand Cropped Skinny

J Brand’s cropped skinnies are soft, stretchy, and sleek (and oh so flattering). In the perfect black hue with no rips or frays, they look especially chic paired with a blazer.

Madewell Perfect Vintage

These babies are the definition of “Mom Jeans” in the best possible way. A vintage wash with a raw hem, waist-accentuating high rise, and tapered legs. Bonus points for the petite (under 5’4″) and tall (over 5’11”) options.

RE/DONE Originals High-Rise Stove Pipe Straight-Leg

It’s all about the vintage vibes on these Re/Done high-rise jeans with a straight leg and gently frayed hem. They hit just above the ankle, which makes them super-flattering and cute with both sneakers and heels.

The Best Makeup Remover Is In Your Pantry

coconut-hero

I show you all all the time how I put on makeup, but here’s how I take it off, using nothing but regular coconut oil!

Step 1: Rinse as much makeup off as you can with warm water.
Step 2: Warm a teaspoon of coconut oil in your hands and massage it all around to loosen even waterproof makeup. Really get in there!
Step 3: Take a wet washcloth (or even a damp paper towel) and wipe your face.

An organic and minimally processed (cold pressed is best) coconut oil contains no gross chemical residue, perfumes, or additives. It’s naturally antibacterial and antimicrobial, so it keeps blemishes away. And it’s not hydrating or stripping, so it works on all skin types! Feel free to wash your face after (or not) or add moisturizer (or not).

You can see my full removal process in my Instagram highlights!.
